We have been given some extra Teacher Training places.
Get in touch if you are interested in a place for 2018/2019.
Our alliance of schools are part of a growing number of schools that are leading the way for more school-led training. This is really important because it means we can choose the very best talent and develop them into teachers for our children. We are working alongside the University of Wolverhampton to offer a one year PGCE course with qualified teacher status (QTS). We are looking for people who have a degree, a passion for teaching and who want to inspire children to fulfil their potential.
School Direct is a programme that was initially proposed in the 2011 Department for Education (DfE) ITT Strategy paper ‘Training Our Next Generation of Outstanding Teachers’. It allows schools to take a leading role in ITT (Initial teacher Training) whilst working in partnership with an accredited ITT provider to help deliver this.
School Direct and Wednesbury Teaching School Alliance
We offer a School Direct Tuition Programme - This is open to all graduates and is funded by tuition fees paid by the trainee, who may receive a bursary from the Teaching Agency (TA).
